The South Park Community Shelter is located on the Red Sands side of the lake. In the summer months the enclosed portion of the shelter will be an emergency shelter only but will be available for rental after Labor Day through Memorial Day. The attached open portion will be available during the summer months with access to restrooms and small kitchenette.
The Red Sands Beach Open Shelter is right on Red Sands Beach and walking trail. It is open on three sides and has a kitchenette with roll up windows and serving counter. The Red Sands Stone Enclosed Shelter is also on the Red Sands side of the lake.
On the White Sands side of the lake, the White Sands Beach Open Shelters are conveniently located near the swim beach and trailhead. Both sides of the shelter are open on two sides, have picnic tables and restroom access. The West side of the shelter also comes with access to a kitchenette.
*Payment is due in full at time of reservation. Reservations can be made online or by phone with credit/debit cards. Payment by cash or check can only be made at the Wood County Parks & Forestry Office in Wisconsin Rapids during regular business hours, Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
